1 Star Bad Service from amazon
I order target gift card for a birth day present and it says it will ship within 2 to 3 days. i waited for a week and it wasn’t shipped yet so i called amazon, they said they are sorry but they assured me it will arrive in time. i waited for 5 days more and it was still not shipped i called amazon again and this time they told me they are sorry but they don’t have it in stock and they don’t know how long it is going to take and if i want i can wait. so i asked for how long they said we dont know but we assure you that we will send it when we got it (looool) and then they wanted it to sale me amazon gift card, i refused and i asked why you didnt tell me that in the first time, the answer was (we are sorry!!!!!!), you can cancel if you want!!!!!. after all the waiting they want me to cancel. this is bad service from amazon not from target they dont have it in stock and they still selling it to every body and promise they will get it in time. my advise if you want target card go buy it from target and you will get it in time dont waste your time here.

4 Stars Unclear message rules
Gift cards seem to be the best gift-giving. But working with them on line can be frustrating, especially if the directions and rules are vague, as is the case with all Target gift cards. You will see that your limit for the note (message, which is free) is 140 characters. That includes spaces, mind you. So, I composed a little note which I thought was well organized and looked nice. But no, it was not accepted, because it exceeded the character limit! I counted the letters and spaces, and it was only about 35 characters. As it turns out, you cannot use the “return” key. It must add the 100 remaining characters . . . Also, as a directive, it says that 140 characters is about one line. “One line” in the box for filling in the message accepts only about 25 characters. How does one know how long one line is?

So, when you fill in the message, do not use the “return” key!

1 Star Available in time for Christmas – NOT!
Like other reviewers I ordered Target gift cards for Christmas, obviously checking before I ordered that they would arrive on time. They didn’t arrive however and I have now cancelled the order as Amazon apparently can’t tell me when they will be available. How can a gift card be unavailable???

1 Star Do not order gift cards from Target
I was working out of state and my soon to be daughter-in-law went into labor and had my grandson 5 weeks premature. I was contacted and a specific list of items were requested prior to taking my grandson home. The fastest way I could get the items to them was through gift cards (as suggested by the online help line). I ordered two cards on the 18th and read that the cards will arrive in 3-5 working days. I received an email stating the same thing. When the cards did not arrive on the 5th working day I called the help line and the lady stated that the system is showing that the cards should arrive by the 30th. So my grandson had to go without a few needed until I wired them some cash. I read several reviews that stated that the service was terrible but I did not believe them. Please believe me! If you want Target Gift cards that badly then go to the store, purchase them and mail them yourself. The cards arrived Saturday but were deactivated because when I reported the cards had not arrived Target deactivated them thinking they were lost. Now it is Monday and I received an email telling me that in two days they will mail replacement cards. Unless your name is Michael Phelps don’t hold your breath.

1 Star target gift cards
I ordered a gift card on 12/14/08 as a christmas gift. On 12/23 I get a message saying “sorry, your gift card will not arrive til 1/5″…this is after I was assured it would be received in time for Christmas!

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW A GIFT CARD CAN BE ON BACK ORDER????

My sister didn’t receive her gift and all I got from Amazon was “we’re sorry for the inconvenience”…I bet!

Anything I have ordered from Target via Amazon has always created a headache…I’m not giving Target an opportunity for a third strike…I wish Amazon would drop them as a vendor.

I loved target gift cards. Very practical gift. You get get a wide variety of low priced items and necessitites for your home without bothering with high shipping costs, and all the shipping boxes. Gift cards in general are great for the environment, as compared to online orderd gifts and all the packaging. In this economy, gift cards to grocery stores and stores like Target are practical. I pick Target over Wal-Mart any day of the week for many reassons. I feel the shipping cost they charge is fair.
